fundraising ideas!

New postby love-meggie » January 27, 2010 - 8:45 am

A while ago I posted something about making a marine biology club. Well, now it's becoming a reality! I'm really excited, but in order to be able to do some of the things that we'd like to do (visit aquariums, etc) we need funding.. which means fundraisers. Considering it's a club about the ocean, I figured we should do some ocean-y stuff, but we live in the midwest so that might be a little difficult. Any of you guys have any ideas? Thanks for any input!

you could sell marine life shaped cookies, you could have a fundraising fair with games like ring toss where the sticks are coral and the rings are eels or the game with the ping pong ball and goldfish. I have a million more Ideas, buut no time to write.

You said you live in the Midwest-- what part? If it's Evansville, then the best way to bring in money may be to sell food at the annual Fall Festival-- after all, it's the second largest street festival in the nation, and fifth largest in the world. We're thinking about starting a sort of nature adventure club out here, and the idea of some sort of grub delicacy to sell at the Fall Festival is rather appealing-- after all, the chocolate covered crickets and scorpion suckers are best sellers at the Fall Festival. You could make some sort of exotic food, like calamari or something. Or make something up (but make sure it's not toxic before you sell it)!
