I was always interested in cetacean communication, particularly whale songs. I can't help it, I'm spellbound. :humpback1:

Icthyology, for certain. I just really like fish, specifically the weird stuff, down in the deeper parts of the ocean, Trenches and the like. :p

You mean I typed a lot of data into excel ;) But yes, the Manatee Research department at Mote Marine Lab offers internships, free of charge as well which is more than you can say for a lot of places, but you do have to cover your own costs of living but they may help you find somewhere suitable to stay. When I was there they were also pretty short on applications so definitely give it a shot! The people are awesome and when we did field work it was really fun, I was just unfortunate to get stuck with a lot of backed up data entry but on the plus side, that's data entry you won't have to be doing!

I want to study the deeper waters and coral reefs. The animals I want to study are sea cucumbers, star fish, jellyfish and cephlepods.
