You'd think I would have found them after close to 7 years living with a Brit who knows what I like
Oh don't get me wrong there are the odd things that are extremely nice but for the most part, especially basic things it's just not my cup of tea.
And there are no excuses for the bread!

What? Killing animals for entertainment is fine, right? Right?
I'm not a vegetarian but killing an animal for the sake of TV is just unneccessary.

Re: More Venting
I seem to have developed tinnitus :( Hoping it's just a temporary effect due to the demonic flu I am overcoming at the moment, my ears are popping like mad and since yesterday afternoon the ringing has started. Woohoo
I have no idea how people live with it, I had such trouble sleeping, no chance of getting a Dr. appointment today of course, so it's tons of degoncestant and my mum told me to drink a lot and a lot of distracting low level music but FFS!!!!! IT'S JUST SO FRIGGING IRRITATING! Should it become permanent I'll probably just turn into a raving maniac and shoot everyone around me!

Aww, Cetacea, I hope you feel better.
I'm miserably sick too... there's this bug that's been going around the lab and its my turn to get it. It's very annoying and completely knocks you out for days. I have work I need to be doing but I just can't concentrate. NOT FAIR...

Re: More Venting
Thanks, sadly yesterday was the one week anniversary of me and my tinnitus and I can't decide what's more annoying, people telling me it's not that bad and it will definitely clear up, I shouldn't be silly, or, oh yeah, I've had it for 20 years, there's no cure, better get used to it advocates. I mean seriously, is it too much to ask to have some middle ground? Can we at least pretend there is some hope while I still have an ear infection and am taking antibiotics, while being sensitive to the fact that is extremely irritating and not just some silly annoying itch somewhere?!
My dad invited me to this tinnitus group on facebook, well thanks dad, glad to know you think it will go away. And just looking at the message board on there has made me despair and near enough break down, I REALLY DON'T NEED TO KNOW about people committing suicide over it! Thanks, I can handle getting depressed fine by myself, I do not need help!
AND PLEASE, no well meant advice. I've had a ringing in my ears for over a week now, if it was your would you not have tried everything possible to rid yourself of it? Exactly. What makes you think I didn't?!
How do people live with this crap?!

Re: More Venting
We should have a desperation thread. Or a 'I've been kicked in the head by cautious optimism'. I've been trying to be positive about this tinnitus thing, and tried to tell myself it will go away, it's due to infection, it's only temporary, blablabla which is hard enough if you see no improvement. Well. It was the sixth days of antibiotics when my right ear started ringing as well. Went away over night thank goodness but my ear still felt weird and sore. Evening of day seven and it's back. Thanks for nothing 'optimism' and 'positive attitude'. Doctors tomorrow, though I doubt they will be more helpful.
Oh and did i mention I'm not supposed to eat chocolate because it contains caffeine and is hence a 'stimulant' which could make it worse. Kill me now.

Aww, Cetacea, that's absolutely no fun :( Hopefully it'll either go away or you'll habituate more... good luck!
