Documentary Synopsis: The Whales of Patagonia features young Scottish marine scientists as presenters, themselves enthusiastic and aspiring field researchers. They will interview a number of local representatives and relate their experiences throughout the expedition to the viewers, discussing the topics of marine conservation while providing an informative overview of the extensive marine diversity encountered in the bay and surrounding area using onscreen opportunities or through narration. The aims of the documentary are to demonstrate to the viewer the global significance of marine protection and conservation, highlight the daily responsibilities and satisfaction in the life of a research scientist, and increase awareness and motivation to become involved as responsible users of our marine environment.
